We invite you to attend one of the many Parkinson’s Action Groups
available throughout New Mexico: Find the right group for you today!
When first diagnosed, it is common to feel scared and alone. Denial is also a way to cope with unexpected and overwhelming news, but research indicates that regular visits with your Parkinson’s doctor and living a brain healthy lifestyle, can improve quality of life. When you are ready to connect with people who understand what you are going through, joining an action group can be a rewarding experience. The Coalition’s goal is to help lift the burden of coping with Parkinson's disease by providing a safe and supportive environment for people and caregivers. If you plan to attend a new support group, you’re welcome to contact the group leader to answer your questions.
